Cannot access github.com
Hey, I have AT&T fiber internet and I cannot reach github.com when connected to the AT&T gateway. I can reach it just fine on my phone using my cell service. Pings timeout, tracert times out. I've tried rebooting my computer and gateway but no luck

It stopped working for me (github) at 4:30 cst. I sat on the support chat for 30 minutes and they did say they knew about it and were working on it. Wikipedia and Yahoo are affected too.

I'm losing traceroute packets in chicago on handoff to twelve99's network for github and several other sites. Something is up with peering.
EDIT: from southeast michigan, to be clear

I'm having this with many sites. I tried using a vpn and voila, they all loaded. I had a random outage last night and am wondering if this is a larger issue connected to that maybe? Earlier I had no issues.

I'm having problems with a lot of sites. Github was the one that made me originally notice it since it broke my PiHole install when it tried to update from the repo. Started this evening. I'm in central Indiana. Using my mobile phone data I'm able to connect to everything with no problems.

I'm having this problem with a lot of websites right now, too. Github, Wikipedia, TMobile, SiriusXM's login, all not working among many other sites. Hopefully this gets fixed soon.

Hi @vcantrell,
we'd be glad to help you access these websites!
Try the following troubleshooting options from our article that covers the topic of websites not working:
Delete cache and cookies - Think of this as housekeeping for the browser.
Flush DNS - It may improve how web pages load.
Disable IPv6 - It may improve browser load times.
We also recommend restarting your gateway to refresh your Internet connection. Just unplug the power connection behind the gateway for about 15 seconds, then plug it back in and wait for the Broadband light to turn green.
Let us know if this helped, or if you need further assistance!
Mike, AT&T Community Forum Specialist.

Hi Mike please take us seriously and read andrewrrobbins post again...this is not a PEBKAC issue this is a ATT's network is (Edited per community guidelines)ed issue. If you don't have an ETA and don't have the ability to talk to someone who can provide an ETA that's fine, I understand that tier 1 support is a (Edited per community guidelines) job to have. But telling us to perform troubleshooting steps that are a complete waste of time at best is not good.
edit: I think that ATT monitoring its network so it doesnt have to be told by customers that half the internet is broken would be a really good guideline to have

@ATTHelp this issue is being reported on twitter too. It is a routing issue and traffic for other sites is getting dropped too (yahoo.com and wikipedia.org). I've tried clearing cache, flushing dns, changing my dns servers, rebooting the gateway and router, etc. It seems to be localized to the midwest, I am in St. Louis, MO, but have seen reports from people in Minnesota experiencing the problem as well.
