DSL LOYALTY DEPT

can you please provide the number for the DSL loyalty department? I called the one 800–288–2020 number and sat on hold/being transferred at least 5 times, for over two hours total of my time. Each time I was transferred the representative said I was at the wrong department and they would have to transfer me again. When asking for a supervisor, who might have the correct number to transfer me to, I was told that there was nobody higher than that person that could speak to me. I’m just wondering if there is a direct number to the DSL loyalty department that I can access?

Is there a DSL Loyalty Department? DSL is starting to phase out.

According to the 5 representatives we talked to today, yes there is a DSL loyalty dept. We have DSL so I imagine there is some department that handles that?

I guess you'll have to keep calling Internet Support until you get someone then. In the meantime, what is the issue?

We are trying to cancel our DSL and switch to another AT&T internet service.

I believe you need to call and keep saying you want to cancel service. That will eventually get you to Loyalty who will try to get you to stay and then you can then tell them you want to cancel DSL and order new service.

Well "loyalty" is just a buzz word for cancellation/retention as that managing loyalty in a sense.

Call AT&T and when you get the voice system say "cancel". That will route you directly. Though if you have DSL, double check if another internet service is actually available first.

We definitely tried all those things. Said “cancel” but that dept said it was a different dept to cancel DSL.  Tried “internet” but were told the DSL dept is not the same as the “internet” department. Passed back and forth and round and round. Not sure the next route to go as when we do talk to a person (5 different people) they continue to connect us with the incorrect departments.

This is AT&T's own link. Within the link is a change service link. If making phone calls and following AT&T's other procedures don't work file an FCC complaint.

Thank you for that suggestion. I will try the link. And call one more time.  Then I’ll look into the next step of filling an FCC complaint. Thank you.
