Have been trying for 5 weeks to cancel my internet

Hi folks,

Today is January 2 and I have been trying to cancel my AT&T internet since November 29. I have spoken to numerous agents, and spent multiple hours, over both chat and the phone. Each time I was assured by the new agent that they had cancelled my service (I even have a few confirmation/ order numbers), but here I am and my internet has still not been cancelled.

I can't keep on spending all of my time trying to cancel my internet. This is ridiculous. What are my options?

I experienced a similar issue, and it took me a week to reach someone for assistance. A live chat agent suggested visiting an AT&T store, but I'm unsure about the accuracy of that information, as they have been known to provide inaccurate information in the past.

I just posted my problems with AT&T trying to get a refund today. Cancelled internet on May 2023 and have the order # to prove it. I have been charged monthly since then and they tell me that I can't get more than a 2 month refund. Even that will take up to 90 days he said. 

I was also told to go to a store which I did.  They told me that is not "accurate information" and they told me to contact the Loyalty department? 

Any advice? I am ready to give up on loyalty of any kind from ATT. We have been customers since we were married 40 years ago, wired then wireless and internet. I think Verizon looks good right now.

NEVER using ATT again.  Cancelled service on 4/5/24.  Got a confirmation number.  Returned equipment 4/11.  Had to call again 5/7 to follow up on the cancellation----STILL NOT CANCELLED.  Then, today, I get a bill for past due amounts for 2 months WHEN IT HAS NOT BEEN IN SERVICE.  I will NEVER USE THEM OR RECOMMEND THEM AGAIN.  You simply cannot get decent customer service.  They won't cancel your account and they just keep sending bills EVEN WHEN YOU DON'T HAVE THE EQUIPMENT!!!!!  They are the WORST

NEVER USING ATT AGAIN.  Cancelled service 4/5.  Got a confirmation number.  Sent back equipment.  Got confirmation of receipt.  Had to call again on 5/7 to confirm cancellation -- STILL NOT CANCELLED.  Today I got a bill for 2 months of service EVEN THOUGH I HAVEN'T GOT THEIR EQUIPMENT AND HAVE NO SERVICE.  I will NEVER DEAL WITH THEM AGAIN OR RECOMMEND THEM TO ANYONE.  They are the worst.  Still having to call to get this sorted out, and it's doubtful it will be sorted out.  But I'm NOT PAYING FOR THIS.
