I've been basically without internet since May 12th

There was a storm May 12th and ever since then the outage has been "fixed" every 2 or 3 days and I may have internet for a couple of hours if I'm lucky.

I do NOT understand why the outage can not be permanently fixed on the box at the corner of Hamilton Bridge Road and Spencer field Road in Pace, FL.

I've been texted straight up lies about it being worked on. On Memorial Day weekend they texted me that it was and I drove right past the box and there was no worker out there. I have made numerous calls only to have to wait for over an hour and a half to get a call back and to have to wait again.

I'm having to use my cell phone to get online and it's eating up my data. I'm not getting a service that I have paid for with att.

The outage is affecting approximately 96 households and I know this because I finally reached somebody who told me as such. Is it not being fixed on purpose so that we will switch to another att internet? Does att not care if they have our business or not? I'm at this time looking for another provider.

I've already contacted att repeatedly. The advanced resolution team guy said he can not give me a date when it will be permanently fixed. It's going on 4 weeks now that 96 households have basically not had internet.

I have the same problem.  ATT phone center has given us wrong information on almost all calls but one.  One tech admitted that there is a major outage resulting from the storm.  An ATT technician was working on the system at the corner of Hamilton Brige and East Spencer Field last week who told us that it may be three months before they get the problem fixed; they only have four generators and there are not enough technicians to handle this problem.

Meanwhile, two one call center tech "Mohammed in Texas" was very rude and said he could not talk to me at all unless I was in the house (I had gone to my office becuase my internet is down).  Would not talk to me at all.  Another call center person told me I needed to schedule an apointment for the next week because the problem was in my home.  Well, it is not. The internet comes backup when the tech comes out and fires up the generator again.

I reported this to WEAR TV this moring and I really hope they look into it.

I have spoken to a few representatives. One told me it was a box. Another told me that it was a line and that they were waiting for the power company to work on it. The one advanced tech also told me something that they were kind of wanting to phase the dsl out. So maybe they are just trying to get us to switch?  I was also told by a higher up that they are looking to hire somebody to fix the problem and that they could not tell me when it will be fixed. I told them about that generator thing and how it's not being filled up as often as it should. Hopefully they will fill it up until they can fix the issue. I also told them that I am a patient person and I was with them when the hurricane went through a few years ago. But...my patience is kind of running out. They need to stop making excuses and just fix the problem already. I appreciate you contacting the media.
