Settle old account

Hello 

I had an account over 6/7 years ago and I wanted new service now it’s about 356 I know ppl who have been able to settle their accounts what can I do so I can start new service

So pay the full amount.  

While a COLLECTION AGENCY may negotiate a lower pay off, AT&T will not.

The account has surely been turned over to a collection agency.  What does your credit report show?

I don’t even see it on my credit report but I’ve called in to get new service and they’re saying pay the full amount in order to go forward
