Utility Pole Relocation

I purchased a property in Charlotte, NC in August of 2018 and I am building a new home on the property.  There is a utility pole that is impeding my ability to build a garage behind my house and I have not been successful in getting a response from the AT&T engineer; my builder has been trying as well for months with no luck.  There are multiple utility companies that run wires to the pole and all have agreed that they would relocate, but we are being told that AT&T has the final say since it is their pole.  My home is supposed to be done by the end of May so we need to begin work on the garage ASAP.  Can someone please contact me so that we can get this pole moved?

This is a user forum. No guarantee that an attcares rep will see this. Contact the other utilities. I would think they can get you in touch with a local att contact. I’m surprised a building permit was issued without this being approved first.

We are having a similar issue with our property. AT&T seems to be running a real racket on this matter. After about 45 minutes of being transferred rep to rep we finally got a call back from an engineer. He then told us it would cost $500 just to have someone come out and assess what we want done. Wouldn't even give us an estimate of costs to move it over if we decided to move forward. Meanwhile we initially thought it was an AEP pole and they came out for free and would've moved it for free. The pole currently interferes with us expanding our garage and in my opinion is now devaluing our property. It's a real mess. If you have any better luck I'd love to hear how your situation ends. Thanks and good luck!!
