AT&T Air is the worst internet. Ever.

I moved into a new community in Reno, Nevada and my neighbors have AT&T fiber. When I went to the website to place an order and entered my address, a screen popped up saying you are in luck and high speed is available at your address.

But then I received an Air box or whatever you want to call this thing. I can't even send an email and the service timed out trying to install a 24mb file to my security system. I wouldn't even use this service if you paid me.

When I spoke with an AT&T Rep they let me know someone would come inspect my address to see if fiber Internet is an option. I know it is as my neighbors all have it and the homebuilder confirmed it is. But AT&T has given no ETA on when I can switch over.

Do not use AT&T Air. I repeat, do not use AT&T Air.

Dear AT&T,

Why are you charging me for an internet service that does not work, aka "Internet Air"?

I cannot watch any streaming services. I have attempted to work at home twice while I get appliances installed, and have had to instead use the hotspot feature on my phone to even be able to send & receive email.

I do not want to call your customer service only to be put on hold for 30 minutes, and then told to move the Air device to another window in my house. This simply does not work.

How do I return this Air device and cancel service?

@AirDoesNotWork  You have no choice but to contact Support to cancel your service. This is a public, customer only forum, for one more day before it is closed down, not AT&T Support. At best, ATTHelp will see your post and tell you to use the Contact Us link. Good luck.

@AirDoesNotWork

I do not want to call your customer service

Well that is what you have to do. This is a public customer to customer forum. You don't get account specific official help here.

Plus the forum goes away in a few hours. Good luck.

You have to call to cancel existing service.

You also need to call to request an address validation case to be opened, provide neighbors addresses with fiber availability, given a ticket number… can take 3 to 4 weeks to validate address and add to the ordering system, with luck can have the service in about 6 weeks.

Need a ticket number to reference if not turned green in about 4 weeks. Do not hang up until have the request validation ticket created and the reference number.
