I hope AT&T will let us trade in our Space-Egg for the new Air gateway when it becomes available. Nanu Nanu!

While AIR is a different product from the Uverse platforms, Uverse series gateways are beta tested in one or two markets in the 3rd quarter and released 4th quarter of given year….

4th quarter releases….

* 510, 3801 and 3812 (iNID) 2011

* 589 (first gateway offering 2.4Ghz b/g/n for bonded pair)  and 5031 (single pair only 2.4Ghz) 2013

* 599 / 5268 (first gateways offering dual band 2.4Ghz b/g/n AND 5Ghz n/ac) 2015

* BGW 210 first gateway without coax primary fiber installs only initially 2017

* BGW 320 only gateway exclusive for fiber (no green data port) December 1,  2020

* CGW 450 first gateway for AIR summer 2023.

Depending on supplies of existing equipment, depletion of inventory, will determine if/when next gen equipment will be released. Based upon history of Uverse gateways the first two years are primarily only new accounts, after inventory increases may be allowed to upgrade older equipment.

EDIT, as AIR is newer product not sure what the life expectancy of equipment will be but the Uverse gateways are kept in distribution for (8) years.

While not the BGW530-900, AT&T has released a model from Askey for a business offering.

See https://about.att.com/story/2024/internet-air-business.html and https://att.com/aiab/

Interestingly, this version supports and antenna.

BTW, from the FCC filing (a little out of proportion).
