New Question - SIM Card
I have a hypothetical question based on an earlier setup. Previously, when using the ZTE MF279 Home Wireless WiFi 4G LTE Router with one of my phone SIMs worked perfectly, albeit slow. I slapped my SIM card in that machine when I was out of town and had Wifi throughout the RV.
Question is: does the All-Fi Hub work the same way? Can you just put a valid AT&T SIM card with valid plan that includes hotspot in this?

In theory, no… ATT AIR is 5G FWA, the next step from the 4G LTE Fixed Wireless that required an installed antenna with network assigned to a specific tower that could not be moved.
While ATT AIR is in essence a cellular hotspot, it is only to be offered where the company has excess capacity on the expected cell tower being used to connect.
The reality is you would have to order, get it set up for your home environment… then take it on a road trip to see if can connect to other towers.
It should be noted both Fixed Wireless and FWA is using CGNAT where it pulls a private IP address from an upstream device that has the public IP address. Not sure what the WHPI product was setup as using MF279 equipment.
EDIT ATT Fixed Wireless used an assigned tower BAND 30 only with modified software Uverse gateway (no SIM) in the gateway while ATT AIR HUB uses a SIM card.
another EDIT, found someone who has modified setup of the T-Mobile 5G Home Internet to use for RVing.

The T-Mobile and Verizon 5G Home service is also FWA similar to ATT AIR.
Cell tower location, reception and band(s) used can have an impact on your experiences.
