Poor Latency on Internet Air

I was recently forced to switch from ATT fixed wireless to ATT Internet Air.  Since I've switched, my latency is horrible!  My old fixed wireless service download and upload speeds hovered at 40Mbps and 10Mbps respectively with an average latency around 60ish ms.  Now, with Internet Air, my download and upload speeds hover around 100Mbps and 15Mbps but my latency ranges from 150ms to well over 300ms which negates the increase in throughput speeds...everything seems to lag now.  I have run the built in speed test in the AllFiHub and on my ethernet connected PC and they share the same results.  I disconnected my ATT 5G cell phone from my home wifi (connected to cellular data) and ran a speed test and the results are 110Mbps and 10Mbps with a latency hovering in the 30ms to 40ms range....what gives?  I would more than sacrifice some speed if the latency could be corrected to under 60ms.  I work from home and will not be able to continue to use this service if it can't be corrected.

Your ATT 5G cell phone data (connected to cellular) most likely has a higher priority than ATT Internet Air data.

Some interesting reading including speed and latency for ATT mobile data, fixed wireless and Internet Air. No guarantees.

ATT Broadband Performance Characteristics

My Air Hub diagnostic speed tests in the last 24 hours show an average latency range from 64ms to 145ms.

I read portions of that article that looked to specify Internet Air.  Their latency for Internet Air says one "should expect" 36 to 60ms which 60ms is about what I averaged on my Fixed Wireless service.  What irks me the most is that they forced me out of my AT&T fixed wireless which gave me no issues at all into the "new and improved" Internet Air service and I've regretted it since.  I work from home so it not that I won't tolerate the lag, I just can't.  They're about to force me to move to another ISP...not by choice but by necessity.

So speaking with ATT service today, they verified they could do nothing for latency. While speed is good (average 150mbps down), the latency runs 190 - 300 ms. I am only 0.6 miles from tower and have direct sight. Signal is strong and we have ATT cell phones and hotspot in house. Hotspot has latency of ~30ms on average. Best I can conclude is the ATT Internet Air service is poorly designed or designed to de-prioritize amongst other users. We live in the middle of nowhere and this tower can not be that busy as there are less thank 100 houses in the 5 square miles around the tower.

I also have Starlink, which I had as backup to ATT Fixed Wireless (forced to switch from ATT Fixed Wireless to ATT Internet Air), its download speed is about the same as ATT (~150mbps down) but its latency runs 25 - 35ms, WAY better than ATT.

The ATT supervisor confirmed that ATT could not / or would not do anything to improve the latency.
