5031NV Remote Access

I have been searching and searching without luck. Forget customer service, THE WORST.

All I need is assistance/guidance on how i can access my 5031nv router/gateway OUTSIDE of my home network.

I'd like to access my router when Im away in case I need to troubleshoot my ipcameras. Ive seen many routers that make this a breeze but can't figure this one out. Any and all help will be greatly appreciated.

Unfortunately, the only people that can access an AT&T gateway directly from the internet is AT&T.

What you need to do is do a remote desktop (or similar) to one of your computers at home and access the gateway from the LAN side.

Should be able to read thru and figure how to do it, good luck 😉

Agree with Computer-Joe.  For security, there is no external access to the RG itself, but as he stated you can set up Remote Desktop on a machine inside your gateway and open up a firewall hole to it.  Make sure you keep that machine patched up and with good passwords on accounts that have RDP access.
