Air Ties 4920 Wifi extenders won’t pair with AT&T router BGW210-700

After following the instructions to the letter, including trying wirelessly and with the extender physically connected to the router., the extender will not pair.  When I push the WPS button on the router and then on the extender the two green lights blink for a while and then blink red very fast, then go back to blinking green slowly.  Same story with all extenders I received.  Also, a couple of the extenders showed up on my Smart Home app as “last connected” at 2:35 pm the afternoon the day they arrived at my home. Since I arrive home around 5:30 pm there is no way the extender could have been connected to my router at that time. Defective?  Should I return them?

We're here to help, @Stick99!

How far away do you currently have your extender from your router? Is there any objects or devices that could create interference between the two?

Let us know- we look forward to hearing back from you!

I have the same issue. My extender was hard wired, ehrernet cable was connected to the extender. This was all set up by the att tech. Two months later the extender will not connect. I pair it, it says its co nected, but it is not. If I close out my att manager ap and re launch it, the extender dissapears. Once again, my extender is hard wired, it should have no need to be paired wireslessly. Why did I pay $50 for an extender That won't won't? Please hp or return my $50 and you can have you peice of trash extender!

I have same problem tying to connect my Air Ties 4920 extender with my CGW450-400 Air Router.  I have tried syncing wirelessly with the WBS and directly using the ethernet cable with the same results.  "AT&T you have a problem here!"

The 4920 is not compatable with the CGW450. If you want to use an extender directly (e.g., in the same manner as the 4920) I think you need the "Wi-Fi Extender 4981 (All-Fi Booster)".

Otherwise you need a third party extender, one of which is usually connected by Ethernet to the CGW450.
