Cant connect my HP Printer (3510 or 3511)

Hi, everyone!

I am using the U-Verse router and I can't get my HP printer to connect. I had it connected to a different router somewhere else (not with ATT internet), but it uses WPS or Pin setup, neither of which can I figure out how to work with ATT. Is there a way to set it up? Or can I use a different router than my ATT one? The HP website was no help.

Hi @candiecloer,

I am sorry about the issues you are having with your printer, but I will be glad to help. You can enable the WPS settings on your U-verse gateway by going to http://192.168.1.254 and going to the wireless settings. From there you should see the option to enable WPS and a field where you can input your own pin.

Hope this helps.

Hi.  I am using the U-Verse router and I can't get my HP CM3530 printer to connect.  I have tried to enable the WPS settings on my U-verse gateway by going to http://192.168.1.254 and going to the wireless settings. The option to enable WPS and a field where you can input my own pin did not take.  It asks for the WPS, I entered a couple variations on combinations and it would not take.  I give an error message "Please enter a legal all-digit PIN".  Can you help?

You can manually connect your printer to the router.  Hp printer has a feature to connect with your wifi automatically When you have saved your username and password in it.  try to select other network and disable them.  you can see  Hp support guide for full information in detail.  you may also check for hp error 49.4c02
