Compatible wireless routers with AT&T Uverse

Hi, I am presently stuck with the Motorola NVG router which does not support 5GHz wireless, 1 Gbps ethernet, 802.11ac, or (and probably the one thing you can't work around) configurable QoS- stadnard features for modern wireless routers. I was wondering if it was possible to replace my current modem which is clearly selectected to be the cheapest thing possible that barely does the job with a device with those features that would still work with my U-Verse internet connection as well as my U-Verse TV PVR. I am not talking about a second router to create a DMZ or bridgeing the network, I am talking about a complete replacement of this distasteful hardware that we are issed. My inter-LAN performance is terrible with the limited 20Mbps DL/1.5Mbps UL in my building, I need to employ QoS so that I can make use of these incredibly limited connections.

Are there any options?

You can't replace the modem with anything else, but you can get another router and do a IP passthrough.
