Fiber 1000, terrible speed in the evenings

I am getting terrible speeds at night on my 1000mbps plan, getting around 15mbps currently.  During the day it works fine, this issue is only present in the evenings.  We're a new install area, not sure if there's not enough bandwidth to cover us or if there's an issue in the area.  The phone rep mentioned setting up a replacement of my equipment but I know it's not an equipment issue since it's working fine during the day.   Can anyone assist?

Hi @stevensr!

Thank you for reaching out to us here, we'd love to help you!
Did you restart your Router?

To gets started, we suggest that you Check Your Internet Speed during that period to confirm the speed during that period.

We also suggest that view this great article to get tips on how to Troubleshoot your Internet and also run diagnostics, detect problems using the Troubleshoot & Resolve Tool.

Hope this helps, let us know!

Yes all that has been done, a tech is scheduled to take a look tomorrow morning.  However I’ve heard from other people in the area experiencing the same issue related to time of day, it sounds like a congestion issue.  Hopefully they’re able to come to a conclusion.

I am having the same problem. I pay for 1 Gig. Evenings and Weekends (especially) i get well below 100Mbs. I do not mind a slighe depreciation but this is insane. Comcast never dropped this much. Almost ready to go back but would prefer not to.

That said, I do not care how many nodes are connected to a distribution point. ATT with all its might can do better. The whole neighborhood is connected to fiber for all practical reasons. ATT needs to fix this. Was going to do 2.5G but not with these results.

Don't blame the equipment. It is just fine.
