Gateway 3801HGV setting

I just rewired my house with Cat5 from RG6 coax and switched over all my STB & DVR wiring to it and removed the coax wiring. There is a tab in the gateway settings about HPNA which was enabled and set to 'Coax'. I see I can also switch it to 'RJ11' and/or disable it altogther.  What is it, what does it do, do I need it enabled and how should I have it set?  Thanks.

The HPNA is the protocol that is used over your coax network.  If you're no longer using the Coax port on the back of your 3801 to connect to your U-verse IPTV equipment, you can set it to "disabled" if you want.  Won't really hurt anything to leave it where it is; setting it to disabled will just allow the 3801 to quit trying to communicate over the coax.

Thanks for the reply and info.  Everything is working as far as I can tell.  I don't seem to have any issues.  I might as well just disable it then I guess.  Thanks.
