How does one have AT&T move their lines to a new Duke Energy pole, so the old poles can be removed?

Duke Energy just installed a new pole in our yard and transferred their line to the new pole. There are three (3) old poles in our yard that only house AT&T lines. We paid Duke Energy to tackle this project because the poles and guy wires present a significant danger to our young children. We were told that we need to have AT&T move the lines off of the poles and then Duke Energy can remove the poles. We have tried to contact multiple AT&T divisions, but have been given the run around on each occasion. Does anyone have any advice on who to contact or how to resolve this issue?

The power company should be the one contacting ATT requesting line(s) to be moved…

They may or may not if nothing is wrong with the pole(s), there are several poles in our city and county where the power company placed new higher poles next to the old ones and both ATT and Spectrum lines remain on the original poles years later. They just cut the top of the poles off about 10 inches above the lines.

If the power company owns the poles, they are receiving money from any company that connects to their property, either the new pole or the old pole they get paid.

That is helpful to know! You are spot on - all three (3) poles are cut off just above the AT&T lines. Interestingly, Duke Energy is the one who told us to reach out to AT&T and then Duke Energy would remove the poles altogether (which is part of what we paid for).

Can ATTHelp or Community Support provide some guidance on who to contact?
