I read this forum string as well as the other string regarding phone calls. We too are very skeptical.
1. I called AT &T Customer Service for our business line. They have no record of equipment being requested.
2. I attempted to report to AT&T Fraud (877-315-9676), but they were not interested and referred me to AT&T Asset Protection.
3. I called AT &T Asset Protection (800) 807-4204, and was informed they are not the department to report this to. The rep told me to go to UPS and return the equipment. I asked for a Label. He stated I did not need one.
4. I also emailed AUS LLC (see below) to see if they indeed sent the router? As of now, I have not heard back.
Like all of you, we are suspect and will not install the unsolicited piece of equipment.
I asked all the AT&T people I spoke with why they are NOT commenting on the AT&T Forum regarding this. No one could provide an answer.
Our story is that one of our warehouses, received a package from:
ATB Logistics Manager
AT&T Corp C/O AUS LLC
2150 Northmont Parkway, Suite E
Deluth, GA 30096
The installation steps inside the box provide a phone number of 1-800-223-6965. When I google the number, it comes up as a scam number.
We continue to receive calls from AT&T to install, but the calls come from the same SPAM number and seem suspect (like they're reading from a script).

I received a similar email, except my email subject was: ACTION REQUIRED: Confirm your AT&T Order
I NEVER placed an order from AT&T, and when I read through the email, it said "Please click on the button below to process your order and accept the following Terms". Meaning they KNOW I did not place the order, but want me to instead place an order through a shady link. The link pointed to a URL with the domain "notify.att.com". The email also came from the domain "@att-mail.com". I called the toll free number, and found out it's a 3rd party company that is representing AT&T. This leads me to a few conclusions:
This is quite sad. I've been very happy with my AT&T small business fiber service thus far, but these shady techniques rub me the wrong way. Coincidentally, I had an AT&T sales rep reach out to sell me internet service the day before I received this email, and I blew him off (we were already a customer). It's possible he placed the internet backup order to make some commission, or in retaliation.

Call (888) 944-0447 if you have a small business account. Do not call the numbers on the literature/directions.
As a small business, we also received calls and emails trying to get us to "confirm our AT&T order", which we did not order. Then we received the internet backup (that we did not order) in the mail. I went to att.com and signed into my billing account and went to the bottom of the page to get the following number (888) 944-0447 for small business. While the gentleman could not tell me much about it, he did email a return label to me. I don't believe AT&T would pay to have it returned unless they knew it was their product. The return address on the package that I received is: AIB Logistics Manager, AT&T Corp C/O AUS LLC. This tells me AT&T is using a 3rd party marketing company to try and push the product which puts you on a $20/monthly subscription in addition to your typical bill. Poor business practice, AT&T! I've been a customer for decades and now you're trying to trick me out of my hard earned money? Shame!
