No HBO Go support for Roku

ATT tech support tells me that ATT doesn't support HBO Go on Roku, but Roku says it does. Can someone help me reconcile this?

Thanks,

I went here:

http://www.hbogo.com/activate/

And selected that my device was a Roku, then it asked for provider and AT&T U-verse was a selection, I chose that and it prompted me to log in.

That's as far as I can take it, because I have neither a Roku device or a subscription that includes HBO.  Between this, and your HBO site, I'd say it would appear that AT&T subscribers are supposed to be able to view HBO Go on their Roku.

However, that doesn't mean that AT&T is going to provide technical support for this configuration.  If you can watch HBO Go on a PC using your credentials on the same network as the Roku, I believe AT&T is going to tell you to contact either the makers of the Roku or HBO to resolve any issues that you have.

Have you tried activating as above?  What happened?  Can you view it on a PC?

Contact ATT Uverse Care on the link in my signature.

Send them a Private Message, on this link, and they should be able to give the help needed to solve your Uverse service Roku HBO Go problems. They are available M-F 8am-11pm Eastern time (also around on weekends), response may take up to 2 business days.

This is not the regular CS/TS phone people, but the social media Community Specialists that know the people to contact to get things done. I personally know as they've helped me on a DVR swap and gone above and beyond.

Include your name, account #, email address and a good phone # (land or cell) and time to contact you on.

Check the blue PM envelope, upper right on every page, for their reply. Good luck 😉

@JefferMC   I did the same as you and got automatic sign in to Continue, clicked yes and it properly came back I did not appear to have HBO on HBO site.   So looks like Uverse does have Roku access. Smiley Surprised

I have HBO Go on my desktop, I had it through the Roku with Dish Network. The error message I'm getting on the Roku is that I don't have HBO on my account.

Thanks!

Do you need to somehow de-register your Roku with your Dish account?  I'm wondering if it's trying to check to see if your Dish account is authorized and finding it turned off.
