Old SBC box and cables on outside of house
The home I recently purchased has an old SBC box and connected cables on the outside of the house. I am wanting these to be removed because we will be doing some remodeling. Who do I need to contact to have them removed?

The fact that you say "connected" makes me think they're connected to a pole.
Did you call 800-288-2020? What happened?
If not, I'd start there.

Are you using ATT service? Aerial drop or buried drop?
If not cut the line to the NID and remove the NID, then call 800-288-2020 for exposed wiring on outside. The tech can either remove the aerial drop or reattach after the remodel.
Tech can remove drop but should not remove NID as that leaves holes in the building structure, therefore you or your contractor would need to remove the box and patch the holes.

The cable is underground, we removed some old bushes and can see the cable in the dirt.
