Open 2 ports for a custom application

Hi I followed the steps to enable custom application ports. I enabled port 3000 and 3333 for one of the pc’s on the network. I do see this show up on the router page. However I still pass a request to this op and port . The help complains the connection is refused.

Can you test the ports locally, perhaps using TELNET from another machine, to ensure that the application is running and there are no firewall issues on that device?

I am able to telnet to localhost and the two ports but not through its its machine ip within the local network.

That would normally indicate the Windows Firewall (or some other firewall provided by another security package)  is blocking the request.  You can try turning Windows Firewall off completely temporarily to see if that corrects the issue, then you can turn it back on and try to fine tune it.

Hi @karzone32! We completely understand your concern and would like to help.

Please contact your service provider as AT&T does not provide the port or application information, you need to consult the manufacturer of the software or hardware.

Thank you for contacting AT&T Community Forums,

Tess, AT&T Community Specialist.
