Questions about remote access in BGW210-700

Hello to support team of ATT. I have some questions regarding my BGW210-700 device. Upon logging into my network device, I found out it has the remote access feature. If I enable this, does this mean, I can connect to the internet through my own WIFI while away from home?

Also, what is the difference between the update access and read-only access options?

Read-only access means that you can access the web interface on the gateway but you can not make any settings changes nor restart the gateway.

Update access is just like you see while at home. Careful these can open doors to bad actors.

I honestly do not know more than this, someone in the community may.

I am not sure what that means, so no.

It allows you to access the web-based user interface on the gateway from the Internet and, if you turn on update access, you can make settings to the gateway remotely.

@thechef1 you are right, what I ment is to my knowledge populates the same GUI as logging in from the home network itself.
