Should I get a DEVICE for my mobile hotspot?

We just added Unlimited Premium w-50GB mobile hotspot on ONE line because we’re in a rural area deemed “unserviceable”  for home Internet. Want to use this new mobile hotspot to power an iPad and doorcam. But I guess it’s not usable for the whole family unless my phone is in the vicinity? And mobile hotspot drains my battery. Can I add a device of some sort (mobile router???) to serve as “WiFi” (or would it be Bluetooth?) for my family’s iPads, the doorcam, and for the other non-UP phone lines to use as Internet (data search, streaming, etc)? I think I still need to be in their vicinity, but at least I could share my 50GB mobile data with everyone. If a device would help, what would that be?

Hello IntheSticks2, we're here to help you with getting you more information about mobile hotpots and data only plans.

Want a plan for your hotspot, laptop, or tablet so you can do more on the go? Here’s what we offer:

  • AT&T DataConnect: Choose a monthly plan with 50GB or 100GB of data for select devices and mobile hotspots. Shop now for one of these devices.
  • You’ll enjoy access to our fast, reliable, and secure nationwide 5G network at no additional charge.
  • Traveling outside the U.S.? You can add an international data plan.

Heads Up: Already have an Unlimited Your Way plan and want to add a tablet to your account? Check out Explore Unlimited Your Way for info on tablet plans with hotspot data that you can add to an Unlimited Your Way plan group.

If you’re looking for a prepaid data-only plan, you can explore AT&T PREPAID monthly data plans.

Let us know if this helps you out.
