UPS lost router, ATT doesnt care

I saw that I was charged $170 on my account for the rented router/wifi equipment, after it was closed, because we moved. It was after 30 days, so I called to make sure I would get a refund even if I sent the rented router back. If I couldn't, I planned on keeping it. I was told, "of course! just take it to a UPS store." So I followed the directions on the website and from the representative and dropped it off. 2 weeks later, still no word from ATT. So I gave them a call to check in. I was told they didn't know where the router was and they would open an investigation and give me a call back in the next few days. No call happened. I called AGAIN a few weeks later because I was closing the bank account my ATT account was associated with and wanted to make sure I would be able to receive my refund. They said sure, they would send a gift card and still had not received it.

At this point, its been a month. ATT has no idea where it is and has "closed" my case. I have no router and am out of $170.

Did you pursue any options through UPS, since you say they're the ones that lost the equipment? Do you still have your UPS receipt?

Call customer service with your receipt number.  You DID keep the receipt you got from UPS, didn't you?
