UVerse Internet DOES NOT allow you to access your home security cameras from outside your home.

UVerse Internet DOES NOT allow you to access your home security cameras from outside your home. It is NOT FREE with AT&T internet service.

I played around with AT&T UVerse Router for a few weeks to forward my Security IP cameras' Port number so that I could watch my cameras from work but at the end it was not possible at all. AT&T UVerse does not allow your designated IP address to be used to access your IP cameras. No matter what you do to setup your router to configure DMZ zones for your cameras, it won't work.

I called AT&T and they said I have to pay extra money to be able to use my own designated IP address to watch my cameras.

I went back to COMCAST. It's so simple and it's free.

It is possible to get port forwarding working to access your security cameras.  Sometimes you have to factory reset the gateway to get your changes to take.  If you have more than one camera, the configuration will be more complicated.

I'm sorry you had trouble getting it to work on U-verse.  It's a shame you didn't come to these forums for assistance eariler.

I hope you enjoy your Comcast.
