What is your Cache and Cookies?
Your cache is used by your internet browser to speed up page loading. Files are stored on your local drive so your browser does not have to constantly download them.
Your cookies are a small file that store your preferences on a web visit.

 

Why you should clear your Cache and Cookies
Sites change over time. When a site changes, the files saved in your cache and cookies may conflict with what is actually coded on the site. Clearing it out ensures that your browser is using the settings designed for the website.
Also, if your cache is set to occupy a lot of your computer space, the computer may bog down due to all hard drive space being occupied.
Symptoms on when you should try clearing your cache and cookies:

  • Slow Browse
  • Web page not loading
  • Partial Web Page load
  • Error messages on web page

Helpful Tip: If your mouse is spinning or locks up, this may an indication of a computer issue. Checking for viruses and verifying your computer has enough storage is recommended.

att is telling me to set up a new browers, and I don't know how.
