Why is my AT&T UVerse Modem randomly rebooting?

I have an AT&T Router and WiFi Modem, and most evenings it will randomly reboot leaving me without phone and internet for about 3 minutes while it recovers.

I've had AT&T service support come out three times to fix the problem. The last time they even replaced the Modem and it's STILL happening!

Last night my laptop & iPhone were the only devices connected. And the TV, Microwave and kettle were all switched off. Yet at 7:40pm it rebooted for no reason!

Does anyone have any clues what to look for? Clearly AT&T don't.

Thanks

My router randomly reboots 3-5 times a day for at least the past six months.  I've had two at&t techs out to check for problems but none were found.  both times the replaced the router with a newer model.  On 8/14/16 the tech install an NVG599 router.  So far today, 8/16/16 the router has rebooted 5 times.  This causes me to lose internet, tv,and phones for 30 seconds to 2 minutes.  I'm trying to recontact the tech and am on the verge of trying a different service.

Suggestions please!

How many devices do you have connected? I was told (unofficially) that the NVG589 and 599 routers go haywire if they have more than 10 MAC addresses on a single ethernet port.

Before doing anything else login via 192.168.1.254 and disable IpV6 under Home Network-IPV6. You will need the access code printed on the label on the side of your Router.

Report back here if after doing this you still have the reboot problem.

I tried switching off IPv6 but it didn't fix it.

I eventually had a 4th AT&T engineer out. He spent 6 hours working on things both inside the house and in the street! He eventually fixed the problem.
