WIFI CONNECTION!
please help my wifi won't work on my AT&T iphone 6 phone it'll disappear sometimes and when it comes back i'll only have two or one bars i tried everything resetting my phone and resetting my wifi can someone please tell me what's wrong and help me?

If your wifi is weak, your phone will choose a better network.
If your router has a 5 ghz option and is dual channel, then it should work.

My wifi signal is very weak in parts of the house that are approximately 30 feet from the u verse. I have tried to set up an "extender" but it did not help. I obtained assistance from netgear technical support but they were unable to resolve the issue and told me the settings on the router would have to be redone. Any ideas?

Have you tried turning off Wi-Fi Assist found in Settings, Cellular? This should stop this from happening.

Wi-Fi related issues are one of those topics than can go either way on a forum choice. legacy DSL and u-verse modems work pretty much the same, wi-fi router wise.
The trick is to get a stronger signal to the point where you want to use a wi-fi enabled device.
Changing channels can help, if there are other devices sharing the frequancy and interfering with the signal, using a less populated channel can definatly help.
an external signal booster can help to a point, as can simply elevating the router to a higher location can extend the range of it's signal, to a point.
Most other choices involve a wired, and semi-wired options, but since we are talking about a smartphone, the wired is not really an option just by the way iphones are made.
Not really a way to boost a wi-fi receiver in a cell phone, that I am aware of.. the antenna built in is pretty much all you have to work with.. And I am betting it is more an issue with the return signal from the phone, than the wi-fi router itself.
I appologise for not being of more help, but while I understand how wi-fi works in general, I am not really familiar with them in relation to phones working off of them.
Seems, they pretty much work well with them, or they do not.
Still, adjusting your channel might be your best option, if you can find one that works best with your phone. About all I got, sorry.
