Xbox One NAT Settings - Strict to Open

I was wondering if there is a solution for the xbox one NAT problems. I am a bit techie, but this goes beyond what I'm able to do by myself. I would great appreciate any assistance with this. I'm using AT&T Uverse router model 3801HGV. I'm not sure what else information you need. I was reading somewhere else and placed the DNS Server and XBox applications into my Xbox-SystemsOS information. This inadvertently caused me to remove my xbox 360 from the router. Which is fine as I don't play it often. I also read that given the router, I can't have both NATs for my X1 and X360 open at the same time. So you can see I'm all confused and messed up. Again, any help would be great. Thanks.

Hello MrTeddybear,

You would either need two public IP addresses or a third party router setup in DMZ+ mode on your RG, as stated here

How is the two public IP address done? I don't know how to do this myself. I could do it with a step by step guide, but just tinkering on my own, it just won't happen or I'd mess something up.

You'd need to purchase a block of static IP addresses. (I believe a block of 8 - 5 usable - is $15/month). Then for each address, you'd forward the necessary ports to your Xbox. (I believe it'd be a better idea to go with option two from the previous post.)

You are correct, you can not have the same ports (rules) opened (or DMZ) to two different devices (IP addresses). On the other hand, considering you can't play on both consoles at the same time, you could DMZ an IP address outside of the 3801's DHCP pool like 192.168.1.25, then set both consoles to a static IP of 192.168.1.25. That way, which ever one you turn on it will have the DMZ. You could use the same thing for port forwarding. Just don't turn both consoles on at the same time.
