1.43 Mbps download speed and 0.17 Mbps upload speed

So I’ve ran multiple test on my internet speed... There’s a chance dial up internet might be faster. Does AT&T offer upgraded routers to try and improve connection? They told me I don’t have fiber optics in the area and this is the fastest internet package I could get. I’ll probably have to cancel when my contract is up and switch but I would like a solution for the next 12 months that I’m stuck with snail internet. Anybody have suggestions or experiences improving the speed? 1.43 Mbps download speed and 0.17 Mbps upload speed4F7DF352-7385-4625-98A0-93C0156E47DD.jpeg

When checking your address in database, what is expected speed that address can support?

Access the gateway (192.168.1.254) and post your stats... Looking for max available, user rate and noise margin.

The longer the copper length the lower the speeds that can be offered due to signal loss over copper.

Your an ADSl2+ account if have Uverse internet with gateway. The speed tiers are 18 (3000 ft or less)  10, 5, 3, 1.5 or .75 at 2.5 miles. Unless moving to a location that is closer your hardwired option not likely to change unless in a fiber market, community scheduled to be upgraded in next two years.

ATT Mobility has wireless internet and phone package that should offer faster speed with 25G data cap for $60 a month. Data overage charges apply.
