DSL on ethernet cable and using a VPN my VPN keeps dropping

I work from home through an Ethernet cable connected to my router which is DSL.  This week my VPN has been constantly disconnecting and reconnecting or failing to connect.  My IT dept has deemed that it is a ATT issue.  I have rebooted the router etc. I have run a Comand Prompt Tracert remotework. log and find that many requests are Request timed out mostly at IP 157.238.179.70

Hello @CitrusMD!

Thank you for reaching out to us! We understand that VPN keeps disconnecting or reconnecting, and sometimes it doesn't connect. We hear you, and happy to assist you with this.

Please try the below following steps which can help fix the issue:

  1.  Update your VPN or router software: Make sure that you have the latest version of your VPN client and router firmware installed.
  2. Change your VPN settings: Try changing your VPN protocol or server location to see if that resolves the issue.
  3. Disable power-saving features: If you're using a laptop or mobile device, try disabling any power-saving features that may be interfering with your VPN connection.
  4. Check your network connection: Run a speed test to check your internet connection speed and make sure that your network is stable. Slow internet speeds can cause VPN disconnections.
  5. Change your VPN protocol: If your VPN is frequently disconnecting, try changing the VPN protocol. For example, if you’re using OpenVPN, try switching to L2TP/IPSec or PPTP.

Hope this helps!
