You will want to turn off the DNS Assist feature.  I believe these instructions are reasonably current:

  1. Sign in to your AT&T account at https://att.com 
  2. Once signed in, click on your name and select View Profile.
  3. Now select Communication Preferences, then Privacy Settings.
  4. From here, you should be able to select DNS Error Assist, and see an option to opt out.
