I have a static ip and am having issues making my server publicly reachable.

I have my 5 static IPs and have one of them assigned to my UniFi router. As far as I can tell I have made the provided ATT router pass everything to the UDM and have portforwarded a specific port to be able to host a game server but my static IP is unreachable from any port from remote devices. I have used services like canyouseeme.org and a port scanning website and it all shows "connection timed out". I've been doing some forum surfing and found that some ISPs block ports by default and was wondering if that might be my issue? In testing I have completely turned off my firewall momentarily to test if that was it but that didn't seem to fix it. Not really sure where to go from here, I have been trying my best to teach my self how to do all this stuff but I'm still coming up short. Any help would be greatly apricated.

Unfortunately that does not seem to have been the issue. i had that set up originally and went in to double check to see if that was the case.

Thank you for reaching out to us here, @Ian747474.

We understand that you’re having trouble making your server publicly reachable. Based on your description, it seems that you have already set up port forwarding on your router and have made sure that the AT&T router is passing everything to the UDM. However, you are still unable to access your server from remote devices.

Please explore the options mentioned below and let us know how it goes -

  1.  Trying setting up Network Address Translation (NAT) on your router to point port 80 to your web server (or the port your web server listens to). Point the port to the server IP 192.168.1.50.

       2. You can also use Dynamic DNS to access your web server without having to know your public IP address.

Alternatively, you can try masking the port with a VPN to bypass ISP restrictions. Use OpenVPN protocol instead of PPTP. OpenVPN runs on TCP Port 80 by default, which is the same port used for regular web traffic.

Configure the VPN settings on the router. Here are the steps to follow :

  1. Log in to your AT&T router’s web interface using your admin credentials.
  2. Navigate to the VPN section of the settings page.
  3. Enter the VPN details.

If you need further assistance, go through our article VPN and DHCP Settings.

NOTE : The steps might vary depending on the router model and firmware version.

We hope this information helps.
