If your address has access to an ATT 5G cell tower, the magical modem is a “hotspot” requiring a phone number… this would not be ATT AIR 5G with unlimited data. They may be a WISP but these WISP generally require a hardwired antenna installation. Or they may be a reseller of ATT service

Similarly you might be able to order 5G home internet from T-Mobile or Verizon which is not using ATT cell tower connection but their own connection.

There are several recognizable carriers that use AT&T's towers, including:

  • Cricket Wireless
  • Consumer Cellular
  • Straight Talk Wireless

The following is a list of MVNOs that run on the AT&T network. You'll also see whether they utilize multiple carriers' towers to provide service, or if they're strictly an AT&T MVNO.
