iTunes timeout and other oddities

Have been a uVerse customer for over 5 years and can't remember the last issue I had prior to this.  About 24 hours ago, I started encountering timeouts to the iTunes store, apple.com sites as well as other random sites.  Some sites will load after refreshing the page 3 or 4 times while other sites still load at normal speeds on the initial request.

DNS requests for those sites slow to load do resolve correctly when I do an nslookup.

I've power cycled my 2wire gateway, run diagnostics and everything else tier 1 support would have me do if i called.

Is anyone else experiencing similar issues or possibly have a resolution?

Having the exact same issue and it's affected connections to iTunes on all devices in my house (iPhone/iPad/Apple TV/Mac). At first I thought my router had developed some sort of port issue and I wasted a whole day messing with the settings. About 10 minutes ago I plugged my computer directly into the 2Wire and still had the same iTunes timeouts so it's clearly something on Uverse's end.

For me all other web traffic is working fine - internet, PS4, Netflix, dropbox, google drive. It's only programs and devices that connect specifically to iTunes that aren't working.

@RedSkyDawn Disable IPv6 here:

Save, will need password on RG sticker, this has been causing browsing problems on Pace/2wire RGs. 😉

Disabled IPv6 has not remediated the issue.

For whatever reason, and by no doing of my own, access to all iTunes services have been restored across all devices. Hope it has for you too Red. Best of luck.
