Problem with smart home manager app

The Smart Home Manager application appears to only display in portrait mode and does not rotate to landscape mode.  This makes viewing and typing difficult as the physical keyboard is landscape and the application on the IPAD is in portrait mode.

We can help you get the Smart Home Manager app to work in landscape mode, dkg453.

Use our solution article that addresses issues with the Smart Home Manager to troubleshoot the app:

  • Restart the app.
  • Reboot your gateway.
  • Uninstall and Reinstall the app.
  • You can also access the Smart Home Manager from the web at https://myhomenetwork.att.com/. If you have issues connecting, we recommend clearing your cache and cookies or trying another browser.

If that doesn't help, we'll work on troubleshooting your device. Keep us posted!

Thanks for sharing that information with us @dkg453

Please make sure that your iPad is not locked in portrait mode. You can check our iPad gestures and motions how to double-check that iPad isn't locked in portrait mode.

To lock the screen in portrait orientation, swipe down from the upper right corner of the screen to open Control Center then select the Screen Orientation Lock icon. To unlock the screen, you'll just need to unselect the Screen Orientation Lock icon

Also, if you access the Smart Home Manager app from a different device is it still locked in portrait mode.

Let us know if this helps.

Me, too. Very inconvenient on an iPad with a physical keyboard attached.
