Setup 2.4Gz Wi-Fi for security cameras
I need a 2.4Gz Wi-Fi but don’t find an option to select any other than my 5G. There is no switch on my router either. How can I set one up?

192.168.1.254 is the address for the maintenance console. Navigate to WiFi advanced settings and turn off 5GHz radio. Connect your devices, then restore the radio.

....or point your cameras to the Guest Network, which is 2.4GHz. Ideally you'd want to change the SSID of the Guest Network to something else and then give it its own password. That way your security cameras are secure but separate from your primary network.

The reason I never suggest using guest is because it is inherently a security risk. And since user needs to manipulate the management console anyway, it’s easy enough to break band steering temporarily for this pairing purpose.
Now I’ll get on my soapbox for a moment. Clearly this use of 2.4GHz devices isn’t going away. Unclear if connecting these devices to an Att gateway is a unique issue, or if other routers have the same problem. My personal experience is with a Netgear Orbi RBK50. Whenever I’ve needed to connect my home automation devices to the network, I’ve never had to fiddle with my router. So Att engineers need to decide for next gen gateway, if they’re going to finally make their WiFi section both reliable and user friendly. What we have now is neither.
