Uverse Internet is HORRIBLE

I've used Uverse for quite sometime now, the last 4 months or so have been torture. my speeds have dropped like crazy, everytime i do a speedtest i get about .05 - 5.50 mbps. ive had multple techs come out to come and fix and they all say something is acting up but nothing is ever done. i call multple times but i can only get people incredibly far away telling me there is something wrong but they cant fix it... so who can fix it then? if the techs cant and the people when i can tech support cant then what do i do? we pay for the 18 mbps plan, and i understand that i wont always get that but im constantly getting terrible readings and terrible service. im very unhappy with all of this and i cant seem to find anyone to help. In my area in michigan, you can only get 2 services and i really dont like the other option but this is leaving me no choice.

Please click this U-verse Customer Service link to send a Private Message (PM) to the AT&T customer service team to help you resolve your request. You can expect a reply via return PM (the blue envelope in the upper right hand corner of this site, next to your name and avatar) in a business day or three.  Speed things up by including your name, Billing Account Number, and the best time and way to reach you.

This is a group of U-verse service specialists who are knowledgeable about U-verse and will stay with your problem until the end (instead of forgetting about it when the phone hits the cradle).  These are the folks I contact when I have an issue.

@Kyle.h313   If these are wireless speeds you are quoting, try a wired connection to see what speed you get, ATT only guarantees a wired connection speed.

Currently on my Uverse 12/1.50M Internet I get 15.35/2.00 connected by ethernet. Smiley Surprised

I pay for the 45mpbs.....

I get around 25-30mbps down and 5mbps up

My friend has xfinity and pays for 75mpbs for the same price and gets 89mbps down and 13mbps up

Needless to say im switching soon....

@Sonic2726, are those speeds wired or wireless?  If wireless, try again wired.  I think you'll find  your speeds are actually better than 45.

Both were wifi for comparison....

Im less concerned with getting what i pay for, because i realize att cant handle the load of their tv sevice and internet....yet my friend pays the same amount and gets wayyyy better speed

Because He gets that speed does not mean that you will.

Echo that: he may have better a Wi-Fi adaptor in his client device, less interference, etc.

Granted that the Wi-Fi in the AT&T Gateways isn't stellar.  But that can easily be fixed for a one time purchase of your own wireless router.  The thing is primarily a modem with the ability to do VOIP and route IPTV traffic.  Everything else is just checkbox fodder.
