All emails for the last 17 years from by Bellsouth.net email are gone.

Goes from May 7th 2024 and the next email is 1 email in 2017 and nothing else. Where are all my emails? How do i get them back?

Did you have a routine backup process in place (cloud, physical media, etc)?

No. Why would I need to backup email that is on their server?

@pjcahill1  For that very reason, in case something goes wrong. Maybe Bellsouth had a time limit of retained emails or a storage limit. Did you ever read the TOS for Bellsouth's email server to see if it was conditional? Does Bellsouth have its own Support that you could call? Or maybe it's a temporary glitch.

Hello @pjcahill1,

We understand your concern and let's help restore your missing emails.

We recommend that you request to have your missing emails restored by filling out a request form. Once you've done that, we'll take care of the rest.

Before you fill out the form to restore your messages, keep in mind:

  • We can only restore emails from the past 7 days.
  • You can’t cancel a restore request.
  • Restoration efforts aren’t always successful.
  • Recovered emails go into the same folders they were in on the restore date you pick. Check your trash folder if you can’t find them after the restoration.
  • You should back up any important emails received or sent in the past 7 days.

Please feel free to reach back out if you need help in the future. Thank you for contacting the AT&T Community Forums!
