att email error message "enter user name and password 800CCCOF & 800CCC92

hello, getting error message using att email "enter user name and password for following server"

i haven't seen this popup message for several years, since i replaced att email pw with mail key

do i need to create new att mail key to replace current one, or is this popup error message on att/yahoo side

I deleted it thinking AT&T had fixed things but it appears they are having a problem with their POP servers.

If you use mail.yahoo.com from a web client, mail is there.

If you use a PC or phone mail program to access a POP server (i.e., inbound.att.net), access usually doesn't work.  The connection is opened by the server and then fails (in my case Thunderbird reported a response of [SYS/TEMP] Server error - Please try again later; on my phone, it just waits).

On some rare attempts, the function completes (so one thinks it is fixed) and then the same problem happens again a little bit later.

Seems to be an issue w/ the POP & IMAP servers... I use IMAP on Outlook 2021 on Windows PC, and I'm having the same issue.... 6+ hours and counting.

I just finished a chat session with support. They said they where not aware of logon issues to the IMAP servers. The support person did escalate the issue and support restarted services. After that I am now able to logon into IMAP email via Outlook. I am receiving and sending emails again. Have been having the password prompt issue for last several hours.

I can not login into my email account, this is the message I keep getting, this has been going on since yesterday. I am not having any wifi internet issues, I am using my desktop, have cleared all cookies, etc... nothing is working...needing help here....
