Att Yahoo Email possibly hacked
I've been getting a lot of spam/fraud emails over last few months. I just mark them as spam and move on. Yesterday I started getting emails from Amazon & Facebook saying "here's the pin you requested to change your password". I also got one from Amazon stating my password had been changed. I called Amazon they said it sounded like my email had been hacked and someone was retrieving information from it in order to update passwords on my accounts. So, I updated my email, facebook & amazon with pretty secure passwords (all different). I thought it solved the problem but now today I have recieved the same type emails to update my Linkedin & Microsoft accounts. I called my virus protection (McAfee) and they weren't very helpful. Not sure what to do next? I also have access to these on my Samsung phone as well.

Hi there, @cgsewell! We're here to help get your email secured.
Thanks to @sandblaster for sharing that helpful information!
We've got a great article that discusses recovering hacked accounts and preventing future security risks.
It's possible your account has been hacked, phished, or is at risk if you:
You've taken the correct steps by resetting your email password. Changing your password right away reduces the security risk to your AT&T email account. You may also need to update your security questions and answers. The security questions and answers you set up at myAT&T will prevent intruders from accessing your account or making changes to your info.
Since these emails you're receiving could also potentially be phishing/scam attempts as our helpful ACE has stated, we recommend viewing our article about how to identify and report fake emails.
If you think an email is malicious, here’s how to address it right away:
Let us know if you have any questions. We'll be happy to get you some answers.

None of that means your email has been hacked. Anyone who knows your userid for any of those accounts can simply click the forgot password link. Did any of your account passwords actually get changed? If not, that pretty much proves they didn’t receive the email with the pin. How sure are you that those emails are legitimate and not phishing attempts?

Hi @cgsewell , There have been 39 people reporting a security breach with att.net and sbcglobal email accounts. What happens is that a secure mail key is added to their account without their request. This secure mail key allows unauthorized access to their email account.
You may wish to visit the following forums for more info on what others are seeing and how to determine if you are a victim of the same issue.

I have found that when you go to Yahoo mail login, asking for user name and it will bring up your list of auto fill user names, that not only can you not delete if you made an error but if you right click it also gives you a link to manage passwords, click on it and it opens a list of all your saved websites with their passwords. But whats evan worse you can't talk to Yahoo to get this security error fixed.
