Cannot Reset SBCGlobal.net Email PW and I have an ATT Account that I have had for years
I have been trying to reset the password to an email account associated to my home internet account and the system will not let me and the toll free support was no help. This is an email sub-account so the system does not recognize the email as the UID with last name and simply states "hmmm, that didn't work We don’t have the account details needed to complete your request." It might as well have said go fly a kite. Especially troubling is that randomly this happens with this account where it says there were too many attempts to login so I am locked out, yet I made no attempts to login. Not sure if this is related to the massive dataleak AT&T had with customer data, this seems to have been happening often since that point, but regardless I need the password reset. How can I get this done? I am missing important emails, and while I am certainly moving to another platform I have to get into this mailbox until I migrate.

Have the same exact issue. Yesterday at 1 pm I suddenly couldn’t pull in new emails - my password for my sub account disappeared. The support line got me to a web form to fill out for a special password recovery group. I was told today it will take 3-5 days for a response. Totally unacceptable. Put my own note in this forum and got an AT&T response that was useless. SO frustrating.
