Finally logged into my SBCGLOBAL.NET email, but cannot access any inbox, page loops endless on multiple browsers, help?

I figured out my login details for my old sbcglobal.net email.

I cannot access any inbox, however, I end up in an endless loop. Reset my password a few times. ATT website and clicking "my profile" also takes me into a loop. It's been nearly 15 years. so I understand, it isn't easy. But I'd really like to access the inbox.

I also tried setting up the POP3 account on gmail for my sbcglobal, with no luck. Despite correct settings, "imap.mail.att.net" "port 995" etc, It is giving me a connection timed out error.

any help would be appreciated.

thank you.

Hey @vulloa2717, we understand you’re unable to access sbcglobal.net email account, let’s get the help you need.

Here is the new process to access your email on a computer browser:

  1. Go to Currently.com
  2. When that page comes up Click on the Mail Icon, (the envelope).
  3. When the sign in page comes up, put in your full email address and password.
  4. Click Sign In.
  5. If the Sign In information is correct, then your mail will load on your browser.

If you get an error talking about that your password is incorrect, then you will need to do a password reset. Here is how you do that:

  • Go to att.com/myatt.
  • Select Forgot password?
  • Fill out the password info.
  • Choose security questions or temporary password and follow the prompts. If you choose a temporary password, we’ll let you know where we sent it.
  • Create your new password.

You can find out more information about sign-in issues with your email by using the forums article that has been mentioned.

To set up email on your browser, you will need to use a program called an "Email Client". The email clients that we can assist on setting up, on a computer, are as follows:

  • Outlook 2016
  • Outlook 2013
  • Outlook 2010
  • Outlook 2001
  • Mac OC Mail(all)
  • Mac Mail 4+x
  • Windows Live Mail
  • Windows Mail App

Before you set up your email client, you will need to create a Secure Mail Key

  • Go to Profile and choose Sign-in info.
  • Select the email account that needs a secure mail key. (You’ll find a menu at the top if you have multiple accounts.)
  • Scroll to Secure mail key and select Manage secure mail key.
  • Choose the email address that you’d like to use, if you have more than one.
  • Select Add secure mail key and then enter a nickname for the secure mail key to make it easier to recognize.
  • Choose Create secure mail key.
  • Select Copy secure mail key to clipboard. Make a note of your secure mail key, so you have it handy if you need to update an email app on several devices.
    • For security purposes, the secure mail key only displays until you select OK
    • If you lose or forget the secure mail key, you can create new secure mail keys.
  • Select OK.
  • Go to your preferred email app and replace the existing password with your secure mail key. For an IMAP account, delete the existing password for both the IMAP and SMTP servers and replace them with your secure mail key.

After creating your secure mail key, then you are ready to set up your email client.

You can find all of the set up instructions by using our Set up or update AT&T email support article.

Let us know if this helps.

The problem lies in my INABILITY to create a secure mail key. Once I attempt to login to that page I get stuck in an endless loop or in this particular case when accessing the mail icon from "Currently.com" I get this error "Care code: 201 [LU100]" despite having reset my password and it being correct. Now as I attempt to reset password, my account has been locked for 24 hours. This is ridiculous

So, is there some FIX or workaround?

Not sure how this is possible. Every support topic does not allow any agent contact, even checking email support shows no "email" support tab. Chat doesn't offer a real person, you guys have done a great job avoiding customer service.
