Hello Ancy, Justin, Maria, Tess / AT&T Community Specialists - re pop3 att email w/Outlook cllient not working

any guidance you can give us re pop3 att email w/Outlook client not working?

looks like other people having similar issues?

do we need to reset anything e.g. mail key?

any guidance/updates you can give us would be appreciated

Here are some things to try if your AT&T POP3 email client isn't working:

>Check your settings: Recent security upgrades may require you to update your settings.

>Disable security software: Firewall, antivirus, and anti-spyware software can sometimes conflict with email programs. >Try disabling them one at a time to see if that helps.

>Check your password: If you've entered the wrong password too many times, you may need to wait an hour or reset your password.

>Check your POP3 server settings: For POP3, the outbound server is outbound.att.net and the port is 465.

Nothing to do until AT&T realizes they have problems with their POP servers. The problem is intermittent. I have it from both my PC app (Thunderbird) and phone.

Until then, you can use mail.yahoo.com from a web client (if you have your associated account credentials, not your email credentials).

Same issue going on w/ Outlook 2021 on Windows PC... sometimes it will sync/download my email, other times I have to keep re-pasting my Secure Mail Key into the password field over and over until it finally decides to sync...... been going on for 6+  hours now... ATT support is clueless.
