We understand the gravity of your concern and that you’re having trouble resetting your password for your AT&T email account. Let's work on a fix and get the help you need.

Here are some steps you can try to reset your password: 

  1. Go to the AT&T website  and click on “Sign in”.
  2. Click on “Forgot password” and enter your user ID and last name.
  3. Choose a method to receive a temporary password, such as text message or email.
  4. Enter the temporary password and create a new password.
  5. Click on “Continue” and access your AT&T inbox.

If you don’t remember your user ID or last name, you can try to sign into your email using your new password. If that doesn’t work, reset your password by following the steps above.

It didn't help, I couldn't message the support team directly, I just got automated messages from bots

This is absurd and unacceptable. I have the same issue (again after a brief period of being resolved) and can't make it through the 3rd step they provided to reset password... what does it take to get help?!?

  1. Go to the AT&T website  and click on “Sign in”.

^ Step 3 "Choose a method" is not what is actually presented. Click on Forgot password, then you have to enter two security questions I've never seen before and obviously fail because I've never previously entered "correct" answers for them:

I can't wait to move on to the non-existent Contact Us options and automated messages from bots.
