How to delete a bellsouth email account.

It is no longer my primary email account, has been hacked before, and is a pain to keep using/operational.

This email was given to me by my parents. We haven't used att for years now, but when checking the step-by-step provided by att (https://www.att.com/support/article/email-support/KM1010448/), I can not locate the contact info part. I noticed it was last updated two years ago, so maybe it's outdated. If anyone can provide guidance, I'd be appreciative.

Hello @kikidriggers,

We understand your concern, and we are here to help you. We recommend you to follow the steps to delete the email.

  1. Advise the customer to log into att.com with their email address and password.
    • If they do not know their login or password, they can use the Forgot ID or Forgot Password links below the login prompt to reset their ID/Password
  2. In the upper-right corner of the screen, have the customer select the Profile Icon.
  3. Select the Email tab.
  4. Under Free AT&T email account, select Manage. If there not an option, the email account can't be deleted.
  5. Next to Member ID, select Delete Account. Select Ok.
  6. Confirm that the Status at the bottom of the User Information section now reads Disabled. The email account has been deleted.

Thank you.
