Mailer Daemon failure notice on incoming emails that dont fail.

Mailer Daemon Failure notice for emails that don't fail

When incoming emails are sent to me, or my outgoing emails responded to at my sbcglobal.net email address, I receive the email, but the sender receives a Mailer-Daemon failure email notice. Below is the text of the failure email:

(Please note the email it is saying is "unavailable" is nowhere close to resembling my email address.)

Sorry, we were unable to deliver your message to the following address.

<[email scrubbed]>
550: Requested action not taken: mailbox unavailable.

How can I fix the issue?

Thank you

Thanks for reaching us @wmewing1958.

We understand your concern. Let's get the help you needed.

To fix this, simply check to see if there is an auto-forward rule set up for his sbcglobal.net address.

  • The solution is to go to mailbox ( currently.com) settings.
  • In the upper right-hand corner, select the Gear, and choose More Settings.
  • On the Settings menu, in the left-hand column, select Mailboxes.
  • Check the Forwarding field and remove it if it is there.

Give it a shot and let us know if the problem persists.

Thank you.
