my bellsouth email will not let me log in on computer but only working on cell phone

I keep getting an error when trying to log on to my email on my computer...telling me I have a connection problem...I do not have a connection problem, I am writing this on the same computer and can get to all other sites / work on line with this computer... I cleared the cache, I eliminated the saved passwords etc... and updated my computer trying to fix this and I still get the same error.
