My mail bounces because sbcglobal.net has no SPF record designating allows relay hosts
My outbound email is bouncing because I'm sending to recipients who care about email security, and apparently there are no SPF records configured for sbcglobal.net. AT&T mail/sys admins need to correct this. Authentication-Results: spf=none (sender IP is 66.163.186.149) smtp.mailfrom=sbcglobal.net; dkim=pass (signature was verified) header.d=sbcglobal.net;dmarc=bestguesspass action=none header.from=sbcglobal.net; Received-SPF: None (protection.outlook.com: sbcglobal.net does not designate permitted sender hosts)

This does not help, and that is unfortunately not the right direction. The issue is with lack of SPF records published for sbcglobal.net: The specific email header on the bounced email says, "sbcglobal.net does not designate permitted sender hosts." The link has no information at all about SPF records.

AT&T owns the sbcglobal.net domain (which was originally "Southwestern Bell Corporation"). I do not have access to modify DNS settings.

Hi there, we are in the same situation. We use Barracuda and we block on No SPF Record which seems to include all email from sbcglobal.net and pacbell.net. We seem to be unable to exempt by domain name for this, but we are able to exempt IP address ranges. I'm currently trying to find ranges for both these sending domains but am not having much like. I find it astonishing that these big old domains don't have SPF records in this day and age.

Good luck! A year and a half later, I have received no response - not even an acknowledgement - from abuse_rbl@abuse-att.net.
