Need to login to deceased family members email

My father passed away recently and I need to login to his @att.net email account for some financial info.  He gave me his login and PW but they dont work. I get an access blocked notice. I tried to resent the PW but I dont think dad setup the security questions. I requested the account ID - and ATT emailed it to the account I CANNOT login to.

I think the recent transitions w/these accounts happened in my fathers latter days and he therefore did not take any actions on moving his email over to the new system.

All I can find is the ridiculous auto-responder chat thing which is NO help. There is nothing in the FAQs or "support" about this situation. I just want to login, get my fathers stuff, and delete the account.

Can anyone help?

P.S. Its really annoying to have to join this organization in order to get an answer to a question.

@Brutixx  Try: Contact Us. That will get you to Support and they may be able to help you. If he's deceased you may have to provide a Death Certificate and proof that he had/has an active AT&T account.
